Synopsis
Documentary essay, filmed during an Atlantic crossing aboard a cargo ship. A film about immensity and faith, about the uninterrupted movements of the waves and their power. Transatlantic tells the story of the journey and daily life aboard and reveals the ship as a microcosm and a metaphor : a human island in the heart of a great elsewhere.

During the end credits, I sometimes write down impressions in a notebook. About Felix's film, I wrote (with my left hand, because my right was in a cast, which forced me to be concise): "Seeing a bell tower, seen from the river, moving." In fact, this film is very sweet and it tells, in addition to this bell tower, several moving stories. In particular, there are those of three brothers, Felix, Nicolas and Gabriel, who embark on a boat for several weeks. They return home by the river with this film, but more certainly, with an idea of the world and an idea of cinema. What more could you ask for?
