Synopsis
Erotic yet tender, Dyketactics is probably the first film about lesbian love made by a lesbian.
A word from Tënk
Hair blowing in the wind behind the wheel of a car, bare feet walking in the grass in the sunshine, Dyketactics opens with a taste of the summer holidays. The entire film is shot through with this joyful, sunny atmosphere, even the most full-on images. Barbara Hammer, an American experimental filmmaker and pioneer of lesbian cinema, films naked women. She takes us on a tumultuous sensual exploration, whether in the great outdoors or making love in the privacy of a bed in the afternoon. The spirit of communes and happenings from the 1970s emanates strongly from these images of women enjoying their bodies together in total freedom, lending a political dimension to their radiant and invigorating eroticism.
