A word from Tënk
“Some days, or nights, I feel like life has no meaning”, Aurora confides. Concert after concert, travelling the world, hugging hordes of hysterical fans… The winner of Fipadoc 2020’s music documentary Grand Prix takes a look at the darker side of fame and the life of this woman-child who shot to limelight. We also learn how important those around her are as they try and protect her. However, they also collude in the pressure on her to write her second album and the inner workings of the record industry. Making the right decisions, controlling her own career, accepting the adoration of her fans… We follow the progress of the artist and the woman, both spoilt child and child prodigy, for almost 2 years as she tries to find her own path and her own voice.
